SWITCH | ROUND

The Round Switch by Sumum is a classic 8 mm push-button set in a solid brass plate – a small circular detail that feels both minimal and iconic. Where the Pin is ultra-discreet, the Round has a slightly more tactile presence, ideal when you want the switch to read as a refined design element on the wall.

Each switch starts from a 4 mm thick brass plate, carefully milled and finished by hand in Sumum’s signature metal tones. The perfectly circular button sits slightly proud of the surface, creating a subtle play of light and shadow that works beautifully in both calm, natural interiors and more graphic, contemporary spaces. 

At Numa Home, we curate the Round Switch for projects where you want a little more presence than the Pin, but still a very calm wall – from Rotterdam townhouses and Dutch new builds to villas and apartments in Turkey, boutique hotels and galleries. You can combine different button layouts (1–5 buttons on a plate) and match the finish with Sumum outlets, Light Tubes and hardware for one coherent story.

Production & lead times

Sumum products are made to order in Belgium. Delivery happens in two stages:

First delivery – internal mechanisms
– Lead time: ≈ 4–6 weeks
– The electrician can already mount and wire these in the wall or panel.
– As soon as they are installed, the installation is fully functional.

Second delivery – brass cover plates
– Lead time: ≈ 8–12 weeks
– The solid brass plates are clicked onto the mechanisms on site once all finishing works are done.

Two-stage delivery
This two-stage approach keeps the project moving: first the technical installation, later the finished brass plates once painting and wall finishes are complete.

Made-to-order & order changes
Every Sumum piece is custom-built in your selected configuration and finish.

Once the order is confirmed, specifications and quantities cannot be modified or cancelled.

Netherlands
Numa Home is the official distributor of Sumum in the Netherlands.

Orders are shipped from Belgium to your address or project site. Once production phases are completed, shipping within the Netherlands usually takes a few working days.

Turkey
Numa Home is also the official distributor of Sumum in Turkey.

We organise transport from Belgium to Turkey. Transit time is typically around 7–10 working days after dispatch, depending on destination and shipment size. Exact costs and timings are calculated per order.

For orders outside the Netherlands and Turkey, please contact Sumum directly to discuss availability, local partners and shipping options.

Electrical concept
– Action: momentary push-button – springs back after each press.
– Contact type: potential-free (dry contact), normally open (NO).
– Rated voltage: typically max. 230 V AC on the switching contact.
– Designed to work with relays, dimmers, KNX/QBUS modules and other smart home interfaces in the electrical cabinet, not to switch 230 V loads directly.

System integration
– KNX: connect Round buttons to KNX binary inputs / push-button interfaces; the KNX system then handles switching, dimming, scenes, blinds etc.
– QBUS: Round can be mounted on dedicated QBUS PCBs that sit behind the plate and connect to the QBUS bus, offering multiple buttons, status LEDs and optional sensors.
– DALI / DALI-2: by connecting the button outputs to DALI push-button couplers, Round can send on/off, dim and scene commands to DALI drivers.
– Central relay / smart panels: in more “classic” panels, each Round button simply drives a relay or universal dimmer module in the cabinet.

Retrofit / hybrid scenarios
– In existing homes, Round can be combined with in-wall smart relays or dimmers that accept push-button inputs (mounted behind the switch or in the ceiling), or with DIN-rail modules in the board. This lets you keep Sumum hardware on the wall while upgrading the system behind it over time.

Mechanical & layout
– Button diameter: 8 mm.
– Plate thickness: 4 mm solid brass.
– Single plates: 1–5 buttons; double modules up to 10 buttons.
– Standard back box: 60 mm round European box, 71 mm screw distance (BE / FR / NL / DE standard).
– Button positions and engraving can be customised per project (labels, icons, asymmetrical layouts, etc.).
