1) Overview

This website is operated by Numa Home, a trade name of Numa Interior Design (eenmanszaak) (together “Numa Home”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By visiting our website and/or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

These Terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, customers, and business/professional clients.

Our online store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to offer products and services through this website.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not access the website or use our Services.

3) Products and brand ownership

Numa Home curates high-end architectural hardware, lighting and design objects from selected brands.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise:

  • Products are designed and produced by their respective brands.

  • All trademarks, product names and brand assets remain the property of their owners.

  • Product images, texts and design references may be used to present the products on our webshop.

4) Ready to Ship vs Made to Order

Our webshop includes two main categories:

4.1 Ready to Ship

“Ready to Ship” products are typically delivered within a short time frame after dispatch. However, availability may be limited and stock levels can change.

4.2 Made to Order / Final Sale

Products marked as “Made to Order”, “On Demand”, “Custom Design” or part of a “Final Sale / Made to Order” collection are produced or ordered specifically for you. These items may require longer lead times, and are subject to special purchase conditions (see Section 9).

5) Prices and taxes

All prices shown on our website are in EUR and include VAT unless stated otherwise.

Prices may change at any time. The price shown at checkout is the final price for that order, excluding shipping where applicable.

For Made to Order items, pricing may be shown as “from” or may require a quotation, depending on configuration and finishes.

6) Orders, confirmations and cancellations

Once you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

6.1 Ordering process for certain Ready to Ship items

For selected curated brands, we may place an order with our supplier after your purchase. Once this supplier order has been placed, cancellation may no longer be possible.

6.2 Right to refuse or cancel

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or limit an order at our discretion, including where we suspect fraud, incorrect pricing, supply issues or misuse of the website.

If we cancel your order, you will be refunded the paid amount via the original payment method.

7) Shipping and delivery

Shipping times and costs depend on destination, product type and packaging. Estimated delivery times are shown on product pages and/or at checkout.

Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery. We ask you to inspect your order upon arrival and report any damage within 48 hours.

8) Installation and use (important for electrical products)

Some products sold through Numa Home are electrical components and must be installed by a qualified professional.

  • Installation must comply with local regulations and professional standards.

  • Numa Home is not responsible for damages caused by improper installation, incorrect wiring or misuse.

  • Products that have been installed or used may not be eligible for return unless a manufacturing defect is confirmed.

9) Returns and refunds

Our return conditions are defined in our Return & Refund Policy.

Key points:

  • B2C: returns may be accepted within 14 days, subject to conditions, with return shipping paid by the customer and a restocking fee where applicable.

  • Made to Order / Final Sale: non-returnable.

  • B2B: no returns accepted for Ready to Ship or Made to Order products unless agreed in writing in advance.

10) B2B / professional clients

Orders placed by businesses, architects, interior designers, contractors or other professional parties are considered B2B.

Unless explicitly agreed in writing:

  • There is no statutory right of withdrawal.

  • No cancellations or returns are accepted once an order is confirmed.

  • Project pricing, lead times and conditions may differ from retail purchases.

11) Accuracy of product information

We make every effort to present product descriptions, images and specifications accurately. However:

  • Colours may appear differently depending on screen settings and lighting.

  • Natural materials (brass, stone, ceramics) may show variation in tone, pattern and texture.

  • Hand-finished products may develop patina over time.

We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies or omissions, including after an order is placed. If this affects your order materially, we will contact you.

12) Intellectual property

All content on this website (including text, images, design, logos and layout) is protected by intellectual property laws and may not be copied, reproduced or used without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

13) Prohibited use

You may not use this website:

  • for illegal purposes

  • to infringe intellectual property rights

  • to upload or transmit malicious code

  • to scrape, crawl or harvest data without permission

  • to impersonate others or provide false information

We may suspend access where misuse is detected.

14) Disclaimer and limitation of liability

We provide our website and services “as is” and “as available”.

To the extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (loss of profit, loss of opportunity, etc.).

  • Our total liability in relation to any order is limited to the amount paid for that order.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be excluded under Dutch law (e.g., intentional misconduct or gross negligence).

15) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Numa Home harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the website.

16) Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

17) Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

18) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page, with an updated “Last updated” date.
